History

Air Force School Tambaram was established in the year 1950, laying foundation bricks of education for the wards of Air Force Personnel. The school has 4 sections of LKG & 3 section of UKG maintaining an average strength of 200. The school extends its service to the civilian counterparts whenever possible.

Objective

1. To ensure all round development of the child which includes - academic excellence, physical fitness, mental stability, moral development & social responsibility.

2. To inculcate in our children the pride of uniform and the spirit of 'service to nation'. 

School Management Committee

The School Management Committee (SMC) is headed by Air Officer Commanding , Air Force Station Tambaram as Chairman . The members of SMC include C Adm O, SAO, Executive Director, HM, Educationalist, doctors, MES personel, Teacher Representative,Parent Representative and School Manager.
